A guitar should be tuned every time you play it!

Standard tuning means the guitar strings are tuned from the thickest (6th) string to the thinnest string (1st) in the following order:

E - A - D - G - B - e

No, you may tune by ear using:

• A digital tuner

• A piano or reference tone

• Or use relative tuning (tuning one string to another)

• Tuning apps
